NLP Logix is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join its growing team of IT and Business professionals. This position is for a full-time employee, will be based out of Jacksonville, FL and will require less than 25% travel.

The Senior Project Manager will work under the general direction of the Director of Project Management and is primarily responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

 

Essential functions and responsibilities:

 

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Develop project schedules and recommends appropriate lead-lag times. Plan workload for multiple project management teams and de-conflicts resources. Provide forward-looking schedule analysis to leadership.
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
  • Conducts regular, periodic, project management status meetings to apprise all stakeholders of project progress, issues, challenges, risks, and project management activities
  • Defining and tracking project milestones while developing, maintaining and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan.
  • Developing required project artifacts such as project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, etc. depending on methodology (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Manage project scope and changes


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience with full product lifecycle with understanding of development lifecycle and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
  • 1+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation
  • Project Management Certification preferred (PMP, CAPM, aCPM3, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Flexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through problem-solving capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
