The Senior Network Engineer will support a large federal agency’s Network Infrastructure on a Tier 3 infrastructure team and will be responsible for the upkeep of the security posture of the environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ Years of experience
• Networking Certification (CCNA R&S / CCNP R&S)
• IAT Level II certification is required before start

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Purchase recommendations on network equipment and site surveys involved with network installation
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Strong experience with implementing configuration baselines and DISA STIGs
• Strong experience with vulnerability mitigation and patchin
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Have flexible working hours to be available to support team when needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned
