Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mold Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Mold Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our injection molding processes, contributing to the production of high-quality cable ties used in various industries. This position involves working with cutting-edge equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production.


Responsibilities:


  • Mold Setup and Changeovers:
  • Perform mold setups and changeovers to facilitate the production of different cable tie products.
  • Conduct inspections and validations to ensure molds are in optimal condition for production runs.
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Machine Operation:
  • Operate injection molding machines, monitoring parameters and making adjustments as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine malfunctions or process deviations.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on molds and machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Quality Control:
  • Conduct visual inspections of molded parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Implement quality control measures during production runs to minimize defects.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve injection molding processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
  • Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of mold setups, changeovers, and machine parameters.
  • Generate reports on production metrics, downtime, and quality performance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to relay important information.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in safety training and contribute to the development of a safety-conscious culture.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in injection molding a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Mold Technician in a manufacturing setting, preferably in plastics or cable ties production.
  • In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes, mold setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with a variety of molding materials and their properties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills.
