We are currently in search of a Grants Manager for a nonprofit organization focused on supporting vulnerable children. The position is based in Cedar Knolls, NJ. This is a full-time permanent (Onsite) position.

 

LOCATION: Cedar Knolls, NJ

POSITION TITLE: Grants Manager

DURATION: Full-time, Permanent (Onsite)

SALARY: $60k - $70k plus benefits.

The Grants Manager will report directly to the Executive Director. The Grants Manager is responsible for managing and expanding the grant program including researching and identifying prospective funders and grant opportunities, writing grant proposals and reports to foundations, governmental agencies, corporations, and community groups.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong experience in nonprofit grant writing and management
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and detail orientation.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of fundraising CRM, Donor Perfect a plus.
  • Experience with donor research and prospecting.
  • Proven success in securing grants, must be able to share one successful grant proposal.
  • Strong passion for the mission of the organization.

 

General Requirements:

  • Satisfactory background checks (Fingerprinting, CARI, etc.).
  • References.
  • Successful completion of 36-hour volunteer training (completed after hire).

 

How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Research grant opportunities and identify potential funders.
  • Manage grant program to submit persuasive, clear, and accurate grant proposals and reports, as well as research new grant opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of current funders’ latest requirements and deadlines for submissions.
  • Conceptualize and plan grant proposal content with the Executive Director.
  • Prepare and monitor grant tracking and grant calendar for each Fiscal year.
  • Attend seminars/conferences/meetings for the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
