We are currently in search of a Human Resources Manager to support their mission of disrupting education disparitiesThe position is fully hybrid. This is a part-time permanent position.

POSITION TITLE: HR Manager

DURATION: Part-time, Permanent

SALARY: $28-38 per hour

JTCC, a non-profit tennis center, is looking for a part-time HR Manager. This role will be an integral position of the human resources department and will be responsible for supporting the Director of Finance & HR. Duties include bi-monthly payroll runs, managing onboarding process, filing monthly and yearly benefit reports, and assist with troubleshooting employees’ human resource concerns.

 

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and industry trends
  • Experience in succession planning, talent acquisition, and performance management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Paylocity is preferred but not required
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities


How You Will Spend Your Day:

  • Run bi-monthly payroll via Paylocity.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
  • Provide counseling on policies and procedures.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Create and distribute monthly employee newsletters.
  • Create and implement effective onboarding plans.
  • Assist in performance management processes.
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  •  Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, workers' compensation, and retirement plans.
  • Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Complete employment verification requests.
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
  • File required monthly HR reports.
  • File yearly worker’s compensation and retirement 5500 reports.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
