Job Summary:

We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide specialized care to physically disabled patients. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work under the general direction of and upon physician referral, assessing the functional needs of patients and developing treatment goals. Your role will involve planning and implementing appropriate treatment plans using a variety of occupational therapy procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct objective and quantifiable assessments of patients referred to determine their baseline level of self-care function. This includes evaluating medical history, onset history, cognitive function, sensory-perceptual-motor function, self-care, and activities of daily living.
  • Identify functional needs based on the initial assessment and establish treatment outcome goals that are measurable, realistic, and appropriate to the patient's condition.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs designed to achieve or significantly progress toward the established treatment outcome goals. These programs should be responsive to the patient's clinical response and provide consistent and continuous care.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program with at least a bachelor's degree.
  • Valid licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Idaho.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time position with normal working hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. However, scheduling flexibility may be required based on business needs.
  • The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age group of patients served, considering principles of growth and development over the lifespan.
  • Candidates may apply prior to graduating or receiving licensure, but licensure is required before commencing employment.
