Job Summary:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing the functional needs of physically disabled students, developing treatment goals, and implementing appropriate treatment plans. The therapist will also provide supervision for our Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assess the functional needs of physically disabled students
• Develop treatment goals in collaboration with students, parents, and caregivers
• Implement appropriate treatment plans
• Provide supervision for the COTA
• Document treatment progress
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Stay up-to-date on current occupational therapy practices

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy curriculum with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Licensure to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Idaho is required. Candidates may apply prior to graduating or receiving licensure
• Current BLS card
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work with students of all ages and abilities
• Ability to travel to rural schools within a 60-mile radius
