The CEO is the senior leader of the organization and is ultimately accountable for: the mission, strategy, financial performance, culture, human resources, technology, marketing, business development, partnerships, and fundraising. The CEO is also responsible for guiding the mission-critical diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy as Beech Acres strives to create a safe and fair environment for all people.

The right leader will be dynamic, with the desire and ability to be the face of Beech Acres locally, regionally, and nationally. We are seeking a leader who inspires change and can establish the optimal organizational structure to serve the diverse and dynamic needs of those in our community through our programs and delivery channels.

Expectations:

  • Expand the reach of the organization through technology and innovation
  • Develop diversified earned revenue streams
  • Increase contributed income
  • Lead the crafting and the execution of the agency’s next strategic plan in partnership with board and staff members
  • Lead staff in creation of annual operating plans and budgets for board approval
  • Carry forward, lead, and expand our extensive DEI strategy
  • Model and cultivate an inclusive culture
  • Lead and develop the executive leadership team
  • Identify opportunities and challenges for each key program
  • Empower program leads to make decisions and hold them accountable to their objectives
  • Review all risk and compliance functions within the organization and modernize if necessary
  • Represent the organization at various events and maintain regular visibility and community presence
  • Determine and implement the agency’s administrative structure, procedures, and practices consistent with board policy
  • Develop a strong partnership with the board of directors: including meaningful engagement, clear, ongoing communications, and mutual accountability
  • Lead communication with government officials as needed and present the organization’s viewpoint on legislative matters
  • Serve as media spokesperson
  • Cultivate, solicit and steward major and future donors, as well as actively engage the local fundraising community
  • Perform general oversight of all talent management and development planning to ensure that the agency has and maintains a viable workforce plan to support service and operations
  • Assess gaps in vision, resources, processes, and strategy and make necessary changes
  • Build effective, strength-based relationships with internal staff and external stakeholders
  • Continue to elevate Beech Acres as a thought leader in the industry

Experience:

  • 15-20+ years of progressive leadership and managerial experience, including experience as CEO or head of a major division
  • Extensive experience desired in executive functions such as planning, organizing, controlling, staffing, community relations, fundraising and board relations 
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Social Work, Public Health, or related area preferred
