Converge Technology Solutions is an AWS Advanced Consulting partner and AWS
reseller. We enable companies, both
large and small, to get the most out of cloud computing. We're looking to hire an experienced Cloud
Services Architect with deep AWS expertise to enable our existing customers and
help us secure new ones. You will be working with some of the most
innovative companies that are shaping our culture for the next decade.
You’ll work with entrepreneurs, start-ups, VC backed, and large-scale companies
that are working on incredible new ideas and focused on growth. We are a fast-paced
company, on the leading edge of the technology where you’ll be working on the
ground floor with the next generation of innovators.
When you're not working with customers, you’ll be
helping to build out our Cloud Practice. This includes defining solutions that
complement our core offerings, working on internal process and tooling, and
providing content for marketing blogs, white papers or case studies.
For this position, we are
specifically looking for an architect who is experienced with the following:
- You are well versed with the base AWS IaaS services
(EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc.) and ideally with most of the services that show up in
the AWS console. You are experienced with CloudFormation.
- You can work with Linux systems especially in the
context of AWS. At a minimum, you know how to write a user-data script, install
packages, and format and mount an EBS volume.
- You are comfortable writing scripts interacting with
AWS utilizing either the AWS CLI or via some scripting language. BCT uses
Python 3 with boto3 for everything, so bonus points if you do too.
- You're able to have strategic and tactical discussions
with customers on their cloud strategy. Whiteboarding, Visio’s and additional
skills to document customers current state and our proposed state.
- AWS Certifications. You’ll have obtained your AWS Solutions Architect
Pro and/or DevOps Engineer Pro certifications or equivalent experience to pass
the certification
- Experience working in a DevOps
model. This means experience working
closely with developers, DevOps tool chain, CI/CD systems (Jenkins, etc.) and
Configuration Management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
- Understanding of
containers and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of AWS Lambda and other serverless
technologies.
Knowledgeable
and able engage in customer opportunities in the following areas:
- Infrastructure
Modernization, Datacenter Automation & Monitoring Tools
- Specialty
Compute Workloads & Workload Optimization
- Microservices
Framework and Service Oriented Architecture
- Experience
with working with Cloud Native Architecture & born in the cloud companies

to work with Application and Business teams not just traditional datacenter

to create and manage POC’s & POV’s.
